Business Development Representative, Toronto

Rent frock repeat (RfR) is an e-commerce collaborative consumption company where women, from across Canada, can rent designer dresses straight off the fashion runways for up to 90% off the retail price. With over 85,000 members and growing, Rent frock Repeat is looking for a Business Development Rep to help bring customers into our Toronto showroom location.

We are looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) but not just any BDR. We are looking for someone that can’t wait to get out of bed in the morning to spread the word about Rent frock Repeat; how it is changing the way people are consuming. We are looking for someone who believes in #LessStuffMoreLife, has a way with people and can’t stop thinking of ways to partner with other awesome businesses. We need someone that has conviction, drive, creativity, and desire to make a mark in this world. If you prefer working on a computer all day and working on your own then this role is not for you. If you attend networking events only to find yourself on the perimeter of the room then this role is not for you. We need someone that has the ability to gain a deep understanding of our market, where they are and what they need. We need someone who will find them through direct contact, through organizations they belong to or through partnerships with other likeminded companies.

Business Development Rep Job Purpose: Builds market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships with new customers, markets and businesses.

Rent frock Repeat requires a new Business Development Representative to identify and create the development and growth of profitable new business opportunities. This position will also ensure the RfR brand and reputation is upheld during each interaction with potential clients and business partnerships.

Business Development Rep Job Duties:

  • Locate and propose potential business opportunities by connecting with potential markets and partners
  • Increase share of each market sector
  • Research and database your findings
  • Maintain an accurate and current database
  • Maintain regular contact with key partners
  • Effectively communicate with clients via telephone, face-to-face and written communication
  • Advise Executive Team of client feedback/comments relating to products, programs and pricing as well as company reputation
  • Provide a weekly schedule of planned activities
  • Achieve sales activities within specified time frame
  • Maintain a current and accurate knowledge of direct and indirect competitor products
  • Keep abreast of competitor activity and recommend any necessary tactical action
  • Provide reports on achievement and activities
  • Handle correspondence related to all selling activities
  • Maintain high standard of personal presentation and present in a professional manner at all times
  • Liaise with other members of Sales Team to actively promote sales opportunities and exchange information
  • Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
