JOB DESCRIPTION – EVENT COORDINATOR

Rent frock Repeat (RfR) is an e-commerce collaborative consumption that helps women across Canada, who are attending a special event, overcome the pressure and inconvenience of shopping by helping them save time, money, and of course – wardrobe space! Women sign-up for a membership online for free, they find a high-end designer dress they love, rent it (in two sizes) for a fraction of the retail cost for four or eight days, and return it. RfR works directly with fashion designers such as Nicole Miller, Badgley Mischka, Halston, Camilla and Marc, Erin Fetherston and Pink Tartan as well as up and coming Canadian designers such as Copious and Caitlin Power to get the hottest styles fresh off the runway from season to season. With over 70,000 members and growing, Rent frock Repeat is looking for an Event Coordinator to join their team!

Do you love attending and coordinating events? Do you love being at the centre of all the action? Then we’d love to have you work for us! We’re looking for an Event Coordinator to assist our Business Development Director with the planning and attendance of events that help promote our services. This role is a great way to get experience and exposure into the retail and fashion world.                                                 

Description:

You will be paid $12.60/hour and will be required on a needs basis. As an Event Coordinator for RfR, you will not only receive training in the logistics and preparation of events but also gain a range of experience in business development, fashion, and entrepreneurship. You will have the opportunity to work directly with the Co-Founders, and the Business Development Director.

SOME OF YOUR TASKS MAY INCLUDE:

  • Attending an average of 2 events per month. Could be more on a needs basis.
  • Preparation for events: picking out dresses from our showroom, getting all necessary materials ready, transporting inventory to the event, and putting inventory back at the end of the event.
  • All other duties, as assigned.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS/OBJECTIVES:

  • Inventory is prepared a minimum of 1 hour before the event and all processes have been accounted for 100%. (Adhere to checklist)
  • Timely accurate reports. On time reporting, and 100% accuracy rate.
  • 3 new prospects brought to BD Director on a monthly basis from the events that you attend
