It’s back! The Bachelor Canada has aired the first episode of the 3rd season and what a dramatic one it was. 20 gorgeous women arrived all vying for the affections of Chris LeRoux, a retired major league baseball player. Tonight the claws were definitely out and the dresses were stunning as another Bachelor season begins.

No doubt the dresses were gorgeous but there were a few that caught my eyes during the first impressions. Mikaela wore this stunning Cherry Red Off the Shoulder Bell Sleeve Cocktail Dress, by RfR designer, Badgley Mischka. Paired with shoulder length stunning but simple earrings and an effortless bun, this outfit certainly caught the eyes of the viewers.

Catching the eye of the bachelor as well, as he took the chance to pull her away for some one on one time. She proved that to make a stunning first impression all you need is a bold statement colour to show you have arrived.

Meghan chose a sequin style stunner to make her first impression in, she did however pair it with a fish. Yes a fish, as she expressed her country/Newfoundland roots to our new Bachelor. This Pink and Black Ombre Sequin Gown also by RfR designer, Badgley Mischka is gorgeous and mixes the right amount of sexy and sequins. Sequins, as much as they are trending they can be overdone, this dress, however, was the perfect amount. Out of all the black dresses this one is sure to catch your eye and help Meghan stand out. Use that “resting get the rose face” girl; we would give you our rose for that dress.

Let’s talk about the first impression dress… I mean rose. Given to the woman who stole the bachelor’s heart. This was given to Dee, single mom from Kitchener, Ontario who has the best smile and sweetest personality. I may be biased because her dress was breathtaking and happens to be my go-to colour. She took a bold colour (royal blue) and paired it with simple jewllery and a simple updo to make it stand out. Remember ladies sometimes your dress is the statement, so leave the bulky jewllery at home. She showed us that first impressions really do matter and taking risks are a must. RfR says it best “You can do anything you just have to dress for it.”

With the crying, time stealing and 5 women going home, this made for a dramatic start to the season for sure. I am looking forward to see how the rest of the season unfolds, but mainly how the rest of the dresses for the rose ceremonies measure up. As I think we are truly in for a treat. Chris LeRoux you have a hard choice ahead of you and as for the women continue to keep your dress game on point.
